Blog Central, Château Stray, Spotted In..., Spotted in France

JP passed away on the 9th of April, two days before his 14th birthday. There’s nothing I can or want to write to describe life without him … and there’s no need to for most people reading this, especially not those of you who’ve lost a dog. Here he is during our last walk down by the Pont des Fées in Grimaud, France, which is how I’d like to remember him - his stomach full after a meal at Les Santons, his face freshly muddied from a dip in the river and tearing out reeds from the banks … and his expression peeved but understanding that I’m asking him to stop for a photo. He lives on in my heart, in his son, Sketch, and in Château Stray, the literary sequel to Spotted in France that I’ve finally completed. Please check back for news on its publication…
