God's Messengers:
What Animals Teach Us About the Divine
by Allen Anderson, Linda Anderson
and Allen Schoen
* Paperback 256 p
* Publisher: New World Library; (October 2003)
* ISBN: 1577312465
God's Messengers is an assortment of stories with one underlying theme - Animals can teach us spiritual lessons about life, love, religion, and the after-life.
Every story in God's Messengers will make you think about similarities between your animals, experiences and the animals mentioned in the book. Make sure you have a box of Kleenex nearby. Most of the stories told will strike a chord within you. Not a dry eye in the house afterwards.
If you've experienced the death of a furry companion, God's Messengers will teach you to examine events that have occurred since and look for deeper meaning.
God's Messengers is an easy read and comes highly recommended by Animal Radio.

Throw Me A Bone: 50 Healthy, Canine Taste-Tested Recipes for Snacks,
Meals and Treats - by Cooper Gillespie,
Susan Orlean, Cami Johnson (Photographer), With Sally Sampson,
Designed by Liney Li
*Hardcover: 160 pages ; $20
*Simon
& Schuster; (November 1, 2003)
*ISBN: 0743255917
Throw Me A Bone is a collection of drab
recipes that you can make for your dog with all the ingredients
you'll find in the back of your baking closet. All the recipes
have been tested on Cooper Gillespie, the spokesdog (only cause
he can't speak) and transcribed by Sally Sampson. We tried hard
to like this book. We were taken with the photography, but when
we asked our pups what they thought, the book itself made better
fixin's than the "Doggie Biscuits." There are a lot
of better, bigger, pet cookbooks you can throw your bones at.

Riding Between the Worlds: Expanding Our Potential
Through the Way of the Horse by
Linda Kohanov
Hardcover: 224 pages
Publisher: New World Library; (October 2003)
ISBN: 1577314166
Riding Between the Worlds is about the connection between humans and horses. While the stories were very good and accomplished this goal, it is not an easy read. It is a very deep book that requires your utmost attention, and you might find yourself re-reading several paragraphs just to grasp their full meanings. So, if you can find the time without any interruptions, you might be able to get through it.
